1902 First Edition, first printing and published by the U.S. Naval Institute, Annapolis, MD. The book is black leather with gold leathering on front cover. Measurements are approximatly 5 3/4 inches x 4 inches, 304 pages. The name of the naval officer is written on the edge of the book (Putnam) and his name is also written inside on the first page with the date (see pictures). Pages are turning yellow. Clean inside with no writing. The cover has rubbing on the edge. Very scarce book. Only 3000 copies were printed.
