This suite is in excellent condition. It was used by Paramount Pictures. It has a tag of provenance under one chair. Each piece feature on the crest a semi nude women in a flowing design. The frame is decorated with carved flowers and vines. The frame is solid. This suite has been top coated with a faux mahogany finish. Underneath is the original gold finish. The best Karpen sets had the gold finish. The gold finish is more rare than the mahogany finish. This set could be enjoyed the way it is or it could probably be taken back to the original gold.
