<b>Fine American Renaissance Inlaid and Ebonized Rosewood and Gilt Bronze Mounted Credenza, late 19th century and attributed to the New York base cabinet maker Pottier & Stymus.
The cabinet has a stepped top with incurvate sides, over a cabinet mounted with finely painted porcelain plaques representing Michelangelo, Raphael and a Classical maiden. The panels have inlaid with cattails and wheat sheaves. Satinwood-lined interior of scalloped shelves, raised on a stepped blocked base with bracket feet.
The cabinet is in fine original condition. The measurements are height 54 inches, width 69 1/2 inches, depth 18 inches.
