An attractive 19th century Rococo oval marble top center table attributed to the firm J. Meeks, New York City, circa 1850 in pristine condition. Original serpentine white marble top, pierced and scrolled frame supported on finely carved legs, scrolled stretchers centering a nicely carved basket, found in a rich color. Similar examples of this table is pictured in the book "American Furniture of the 19th Century 1840-1880" by R. & E. Dubrow on pages 129 and 130. Measurements are 30 inches tall x 45 inches long x 28 inches wide.
