| A very fine American Renaissance Sofa in the manner of Gustave Herter, New York City, circa 1865-1870. A similar example is pictured in the book Herter Brothers Furniture and Interiors for a Gilded Age written by Katherine S. Howe and etal on page 132. The sofa is rosewood and finish is original. It is nicely upholstered. Measurements are 49 1/4 inches tall, 79 inches wide and 32 inches deep. |
