To render this book as comprehensive as possible, the selection of bottles has been carefully chosen from private collections with only three illustrated examples being from museums. There is also an extensive glossary of bottle-making terms.
The Author
Willy Van den Bossche was born in Belgium, later graduating in industrial engineering and specialising in glass technology. He developed a passionfor modern and antique glass bottles whilst working in the bottle-makingindustry.
He has lectured extensively and written numerous articles on antiquebottles and has been a serious collector of them and their associated literaturefor over thirty years. He is currently chief Patent Examiner in thefield of glass technology at the European Patent Office. |
