Photos, many in full color, illustrate the products of the weavers who worked at home making items that were used by the family, offered in trade, or sold. Chapters include details on handmaking bed furnishings, curtains, table lines, cushions, upholstery, slipcovers, rugs and carpeting as it was done from 1640 to 1880. Yarns, looms and the dyes used.
